Around the world, everyone knows about the popularity of the Indian cooking and recipes. Indian recipes are different from the rest of the world not only in taste but also in cooking methods. Indian cuisine is one of the most varied cuisines in the world, spread across few thousands of kilometers in length and breadth of this country is innumerable cultures, with their varied dishes. The development of Indian Cooking methods and Indian Cuisine to the present form can be traced easily from the Indian history which is extraordinary, shaped by numerous unique cultures and civilizations that resulted from invasion, migration and merging of different tribes. In fact, with its consistent utilization of ingredients native to different regions, it is possible to travel across the country ordering the same dish over and over, and never be quite sure of how it will taste. In Indian cuisine, food is categorized into six tastes; they are sweetness, sour, salty, spicy, taste of bitterness and astringent. Even though the spices are common the foods taste differently. Indian cooking tries to incorporate sweet, salt, sour, bitter, astringent and spices into all meals yet, the balance of flavors and different tastes are maintained by a permutation combination of these spices.


But do non-Indians always have to eat out if they want to relish a nice bite of a Tandoori Chicken, or a spoon of Dal Makhani or even an Indian Pickle or an Indian Curry or Chutney, Rosogolla sweet or even a glass of fresh cold Lassi?
