K. C. Mahindra Scholarships in India - An Overview
This is an interest-free loan scholarship awarded to Indian graduate
students interested in pursuing their post graduate studies abroad in
Engineering, Natural Sciences, Humanities, Medicine & Business
Management including the study of Military, Naval and Aviation Sciences.

K. C. Mahindra Scholarships for Post Graduate Studies Abroad
Availability
Duration of studies abroad would be for a maximum of two years unless specific approval of the Trust is obtained by the scholar to extend studies exceeding this period. The maximum amount for the scholarship will be Rs. 2 lacs per scholar, except for the 3 K.C. Mahindra fellow scholarships for which the maximum amount will be Rs. 8 lacs per scholar.
Eligibility
The eligibility conditions for applying K. C. Mahindra interest-free loan scholarships are:
- He / She is required to possess a First Class degree or an equivalent diploma of similar standard of a recognized Indian University.
- Applicant must have secured admission or at least have applied for admission in reputable foreign Universities or Institutions for courses commencing from September, 2012 but not later than February, 2013.
- Candidates studying in the final year of the degree or diploma courses are also eligible to apply, provided they produce their final year certificate before 30th June, 2012.
In addition, to the above conditions the Applicant’s character, aptitude and ambition will be the major factors in guiding the Trustees to arrive at a decision regarding the final selection.
How to Apply
Applications are invited for the K. C. Mahindra Scholarships for the year 2012. Application forms can be collected from the address given hereunder or downloaded from the link provided below and submitted in the prescribed format. Prescribed application forms duly filled in by the applicants together with necessary enclosures must reach the trust office before 31st March, 2012.
Employment and other Conditions
After the candidate (awardee) returns to India the candidate will be free to serve any firm or institution of his / her choice. There will not be any obligation on the part of the Trustees to provide employment. Before leaving the country, the candidate is required to obtain a 20 year MONEY BACK Policy on his / her life for a sum usually equivalent to the total scholarship amount to him / her, and under such table as may be decided upon by the K. C. Mahindra Scholarships Trustees. This policy will be assigned by the candidate in favour of the Trustees in a manner prescribed by the Trust. All terms and conditions of this scholarship are clearly given on the application form.
